Vinya Pendents Cariñena red wine

75cl bottle \n \nPendents is located near the town of Porrera, 20 km from the Mediterranean Sea, planted in llicorella soil. Pendents have a dramatic slope reaching 30 degrees, offering significant sun exposure. The vines receive a vital cooling sea breeze from the Mediterranean Sea which helps the grapes preserve acidity. \n \nThe Pendents Cariñena grapes were the last to be harvested in 2017, after a long wait to achieve optimum ripeness. All batches were kept cold for an extended period of 4-5 days before starting a slow fermentation. Gentle pumpovers were carried out in barrels and 300L tanks several times a day. The macerations lasted more than 30 days to achieve an optimal extraction of tannins. New French oak barrels were used for 18 months to store the wine before bottling, without fining or filtration. This wine has a firm palate, earthy notes and a unique salinity from the sea breeze. \n \nScore: not available.
