Our multi layer silk face masks are here to give you protection, comfort but also a touch of glamour … still important to be chic self-distancing, non? The outer layer is 95% Silk crepe de chine, 95 % Elastane, the lining is 100% Cotton - as this fabric combo actually filters out aerosol particles, making these masks nearly as effective (but not quite) as N95 PPE masks. Interestingly, the success of silk & cotton layering was recently reported by researchers from The University of Chicago as an effective fabric combination for the prevention of germ spread. Our masks are pleated for extra “give” so you’re covered but it's not claustrophobic. Featuring a silk covered elastic headband to fit snugly around the head, and loose ties at the bottom - so you can adjust for your comfort. This is NOT A MEDICAL MASK, it is not intended to replace PPE. It is personal use item and cannot be returned for hygiene reasons.  For hygiene reasons this mask is not returnable. WASHING & CARE We recommend hand washing your mask using a ‘delicates’ detergent in warm water.
