Azores Grand Cru black tea

Tea grown on the island of Sao Miguel, in the Portuguese archipelago of the Azores, located in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean. The oceanic climate and the very rich mineral composition of the island's volcanic soil are ideal for growing tea plants. In this small family plantation, the tea plants grow in natural symbiosis with the semi-tropical flora and fauna of the island. The plantation has been cultivating its tea plants for three generations without any treatment. The leaves are worked using traditional methods. Maïa Baia tea benefits from European organic certification.  Its leaves offer a pleasant, slightly floral scent. The volcanic soil of the island imparts very light and mineral notes. hasthis tea once infused. Maïa Baia tea is an Orange Pekoe, very sweet in the mouth, without any bitterness. It can be enjoyed both hot and cold brewed.  Infuse for 4 minutes at 85°. Cold: put the leaves in quality spring water, and leave in the refrigerator for 3 hours.
