Ammo and Malakio are two committed young companies of artisan designers gathered around the wild and unique atmosphere of the Brittany coast, but also around common values: respect for the environment and the desire to promote local know-how. Convinced of the future of French craftsmanship on a human scale, and valuing local know-how and raw materials, we design and manufacture all the pieces of the Les Pierres Noires range together, in search of essential authenticity. The MA01 lamp is designed from noble and responsible materials. The walnut used for the foot of the estale comes from sustainably managed French forests (PEFC certified) and turned by hand in the Morbihan workshop of the Ammo studio. The puck in Istrenn is made to measure in Nantes from scallop shell waste recovered from Finistère restaurants. The low-tech process used for its manufacture is particularly energy efficient and does not require any chemical additives. The metal arch is handcrafted in the Oise and the bulb, signed Tala, is mouth blown in England. One of the essential phases of our approach is also to think, from its conception, of the life cycle of the object and its impact on the environment. We have thus developed an assembly solution without glue and without screws for this first creation of the range. It is the very design of the object that takes into account this need for repairability, for materiality that is as refined as possible and for optimized assembly: the metal hoop alone secures the Istrenn disc to the walnut base. Through this assembly technique, we seek to eliminate waste in the field of object design. The consigned lamp can thus, when you wish, be recovered, repaired, then marketed second-hand by the Malàkio and Ammo teams. Dimensions: Height 32cm / Diameter 24cm Manufacturer objects only on order in order to avoid overproduction which can create waste, the average delivery times for this object are 4 to 6 weeks.
