Its full-bodied flavour makes it ideal to drink on its own but also in lattes, smoothies and lemonades. Moya Matcha Traditional is obtained in the 1st and 2nd harvest from tea plants that are specially shaded from direct sunlight. This process results in higher chlorophyll and L-Theanine contents and a richer, greener color. The fresh leaves are then collected, dried and ground to powder. 🍵 CERAMIC MATCHAWAN UMI Handmade matcha bowl from fireclay with glaze finishing. It is shaped according to centuries’ old Japanese tradition from Kyoto adapted by a small ceramic studio in Cracow in collaboration with Moya Matcha. Each piece of stoneware is unique with its own natural and subtle variation. It is fired at very high temperature providing safety and durability. Matchawan is the traditional bowl used in the Japanese tea ceremony and makes matcha preparation very easy. When whisking matcha with a bamboo whisk (chasen) the tall vertical walls of the matchawan help to prevent the water from spilling. As this is a handcrafted product, dimension and appearance may vary slightly. 🌱 MATCHA BAMBOO WHISK CHASEN Traditional bamboo whisk or “chasen” is an indispensable tool of the Japanese matcha tea ceremony. The fine, handmade prongs are carved out in a single piece of bamboo by craftsmen whose skills are past on from generation to generation.
