Oolong «Shui Jin Gui» («Water Golden Turtle») is one of the oldest varieties of yancha which got its name for dense relief leaves resembling the shape of a tortoise shell. A more romantic version claims that the immortal spirit of the Golden Turtle, the caretaker of the tea garden in the celestial halls of the Lady of the West, Si Wang Mu, embodied in the tree. Hearing the ritual prayers of the tea growers in the Wuyi Mountains and touched by their sincerity, the spirit left its abode and turned into a tea bush. Made in the Yunlong tea farm (moderate fire). In appearance: middle-sized, thin, lengthwise twisted brown leaves. The aroma is intensive, spicy-biscuit.
