The Elephants is a work from 1948. The elephant is a recurring theme in Dalí’s works. The elephants in this work differ from the other paintings in that the animals are the focus of the work, with a sparse, graduated background and the absence of other content, where most of Dalí's paintings contain many details and sights. © Salvador Dalí, Fundació Gala-Salvador Dalí, VEGAP, Barcelona 2020
