Gummed kraft – 1+1 – Marie Salamagne and Woodkid

Collection 1+1 – Limited edition – Eau de parfum – 15ml Marie Salamagne, perfume creator, and Yoann Lemoine, alias Woodkid, director and musician, share a taste for art and images.  An aesthetic sensitivity that one declines in sounds, the other in smells.  From their meeting was born a composition as singular as it was personal. “Gummed Kraft is not just a perfume, but more the scent of a memory.  Twenty years have passed since Woodkid's art studies, but the ghost of his supplies, buried in a corner of his memory, suddenly emerges.  Crumb gum, glue, varnish, paper, adhesive and wooden easel.  This accord synthesizes the scent of creation, the sketch of a young artist in the making.  It was during this period that the future director shaped his taste for images, his hands full of paint, his nose in art books.  Linseed oil, beeswax and myrrh accord constitute the starting point for a clayey, moist and fresh material.  From sculpture to drawing, the perfume evolves towards a drier cedar, like a just sharpened pencil.  First glances, first emotions, the creation is enriched with tobacco notes: boyish hands with hints of nicotine, stolen caresses between two sketches.  Gently coated with tolu balm and Ambrox, gummed Kraft is worn on a tied scarf, as if draped in the memory of a forbidden night of love.”
