ORGANIC INTERGAL COUSCOUS 1 Kg

Oltresole organic wholemeal couscous (or with the French spelling "couscous") is a typical food of North Africa, and, in Italy, western Sicily and southwestern Sardinia. Its name means "chopped (or reduced) into very small pieces": this is because it comes in small grains of wholemeal durum wheat semolina processed with water and steamed. Compared to soft wheat (Triticum aestivum), the grain is more elongated, translucent and, as the name suggests, "hard". It usually accompanies stewed meats and/or boiled vegetables. It can be made spicy by accompanying it with harissa (especially used in Tunisia). In Italy, however, couscous is prepared in the Trapani area, in Sicily; it is steam cooked in a special enamelled terracotta pot, but the seasoning, unlike the North African one, is a fish soup broth.
