Bourbon Rouge – Rwanda (Gatsibo), the fruit of a committed terroir This 100% Arabica Bourbon Rouge variety grows at an altitude of 1,599 meters in the Gatsibo district of northeastern Rwanda. Harvested and dried with a light veil of pulp, it offers a fruity, juicy and complex cup, with aromas of jam and orange juice, with a low caffeine content – half that of a classic Arabica. Behind this coffee is a human project founded in 2008 by Tom Bagaza, a local boy, who created several coffee-growing villages to improve the living conditions of nearly 800 producers. Car wash, community aqueduct, local infrastructure… every sip of this coffee bears the trace of a concrete impact. Roasted in small quantities by our Q-Grader in our workshop in La Seyne-sur-Mer, this coffee is packaged without disposable packaging, in returnable containers.
