OOPLA is a social and solidarity economy company created in 2018 whose objective is to enable everyone to reduce their impact in a simple and profitable way.

Thibaut and Tristan have a key quote: that of the anthropologist Margaret Mead. “Never doubt that a small group of conscious and committed individuals can change the world. That's the way it's always happened. Indeed, according to the two brothers, there are no unnecessary gestures, even on a small scale, because ultimately “the ecological footprint of a country is only the sum of our individual and collective behavior. »

The brand name is a contraction of the terms “Only One Planet”. For the co-founders of the brand, it is necessary to realize that there is no plan B, no second planet to welcome life and that it is therefore important to act at all levels without waiting for decisions. governmental.

This is why they launched a forum in February 2020, titled "Every gesture counts to save the Planet", in which they refuse fatalism and pessimism in terms of consumer ecological commitment.

Convinced that low tech has a very bright future ahead of it, in 2018 they launched their first product: a water-saving kit that allows up to 50% savings on the consumption of the main water points in the house. Based on a simple mechanical principle, the product saves water but also the energy used to heat it.

Enabling you to consume less, but better in the face of the climate emergency is the mission that the brand has set itself.

Since its beginnings, the start-up has multiplied its commitments by participating in ambitious actions in parallel with an eco-responsible proposal through its products.

The brand is a partner of the Graine de Vie association. Thus, Oopla plants a tree for each product purchased on its range. Tristan, Thibault and their team are convinced that “protecting the forest is one of the most effective strategies for combating global warming”. This initiative is far from being a simple fad since 20% of CO2 emissions produced by humans come from deforestation. Already more than 13,000 trees have been planted in Madagascar. As the 5th poorest country in the world and the 3rd country most exposed to the effects of global warming according to the IPCC (Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change), Madagascar was chosen for this project by the association for its climatic and social impact.
