Peaberrie or Caracoli refer to solitary beans that occur when the coffee tree can no longer provide the cherries at the end of the shrub with sufficient nutrients. Only one bean forms in the cherry, this bean grows so slowly that it becomes more aromatic as it absorbs all the sugar in the pulp of the cherry. We find this peculiarity in all the productions of the world, but they are rare beans because a plantation must have 5% to 15% of peaberry for it to be interesting to sell them separately, in particular because of the sorting by hand that this need. These grains are highly sought after for their high aromatic concentration. Our Kenya Peaberry contains 100% Peaberry for your complete satisfaction.
