It is particularly rich in trace elements.   Extracted from mines in Pakistan (Himalayas), Himalayan pink salt comes from the evaporation of seas that disappeared several hundred million years ago. Due to these unique conditions very favorable for good resource preservation, Himalayan pink salt is considered one of the best sources of natural minerals on earth and derives its pink hue from its high mineral and iron content. .   Nowadays, more and more consumers have reservations about the quality of sea salt because of the risk of contamination due to plastics and ocean pollution.
