Pierre qui mousse is an artisanal soap factory located in the heart of the village of Lagrasse in the sublime Corbières, in Occitanie (classified as one of the most beautiful villages in France).
The soaps – foaming stone – are made in a natural & artisanal way, by hand. These are superfatted cold saponified soaps made from organic oils and butters. They contain natural glycerin to protect & nourish your epidermis. Their properties vary depending on their composition and they are all good for the skin & the environment.
With or without perfume, they are suitable for all skin types for hands, face and body.
I am proud to do a job that resembles me, which goes back to basics by offering a basic necessity: cold process soap. As good for our skin as it is for the health of our world – terrestrial and aquatic.
The vast majority of raw materials I use are of organic origin.
I work alone even though my cabinetmaker companion gives me a lot of ideas – and a helping hand – as does our very inventive son.
I called my soap factory “Pierre qui mousse” in homage to a text by Francis Ponge in his book Le Savon.
Inspired by these texts, it is through the prism of the imagination that I want to approach my own vision of ecology.
I offer you a sensory and poetic escape.
