Amaranth is often referred to as an Inca grain. It is found all over Central and South America. The organic amaranth is a round seed that belongs to the foxtail family and is therefore naturally gluten-free. It is one of the oldest cultivated plants. Due to its special protein composition, it is easy to achieve a high biological value when combined with cereals.
