Poggio ai Mandorli – Chianti Classico Riserva D.O.c.G.2019

This wine of great character is produced from vineyards of the “Poggio ai Mandorli” estate with 90% Sangiovese grapes and a small addition of Merlot and Syrah grapes, aged for more than a year in oak barrels, French barriques and tonneaux and then refined in the bottle for another 3 months. Very intense ruby color with very light garnet reflections, complex and elegant aroma, with notes of violet and berries, warm and enveloping flavor with soft and noble tannins that give it a pronounced character of very persuasive and persistent finesse. Particularly appreciated as a meditation wine, it pairs well with meat-based dishes, noble game, as well as mature cheeses.
