Selkie NightsInspired by my love of myths and tales, of Scottish folklore and legends of strong mysterious women. Selkies are mythological beings capable of therianthropy, changing from seal to human form by shedding their skin. They are found in folktales and mythology originating from the Northern Isles of Scotland. This is a three layer, four colour reduction linocut print in a small limited edition of 20.Reduction prints are made by cutting away more of the lino as you reveal each layer of colour, the entire edition is printed in one go and no more can be made.Made in my home studio in Dorset and printed on a gunning etching press.**** Dimensions- 21cm Width by 29.7cm Height (unframed)Printed on recycled paper using Caligo oil-based relief ink.Each print is handmade and unique so there may be tiny variations from the picture.All prints are signed and edition by me.
