Peppermint is a very fragrant plant, which already perfumed Egyptian tombs where mint leaves were found there. It was also mentioned in the oldest known treatise, the Ebers Papyrus, as a calming agent. It is now widely used in the cosmetics and pharmaceutical industry. A large number of traditions, particularly Indian (Ayurveda) and Chinese, still call on it for its properties. It is cultivated all over the world but the quantities and qualities of this essential oil vary according to the soil. Use: Food flavoring (CoE n°: 282) Food dosage: 1 drop in a dish for 5 people (never exceed 2%) Always use essential oil diluted in a suitable medium (example: vegetable oil, honey, etc.) Soluble in alcohol, fatty substances (vegetable oils and butters) and emulsions (creams). Insoluble in water. It is however possible to use it as a mixture in these types of products but pre-mixed with Solubol (in this case it is necessary to put 4 times more solubol than essential oil).
