Its fruit is called prune d'ente and once dried, it becomes prune d'ente. Ente prunes are the only ones to benefit from the protected geographical indication of "pruneaux d'Agen". The oil is obtained from the kernels of the plum kernel after crushing and filtration. Its irresistible taste and smell of almond/frangipane is a real delight to sublimate hot and cold dishes.
