The PURE KASHMIR label is the epitome of wonderfully soft and feather-light scarves made from pure "pashmina cashmere", the protected designation of origin for original cashmere from the North Indian Kashmir Valley.
"Pashmina" means "delicate gold" and is considered the finest cashmere quality in the world. It comes from the delicate undercoat of the Changra goats, a particularly rare breed of goat that lives at over 4,500 meters in the Himalayas. The cloths are manufactured according to centuries-old craftsmanship in the family business in Srinagar, Kashmir - and this is now in the fifth generation.
The designs are reminiscent of the magnificent scarves that were once worn by maharajas and queens. Old embroidery and weaving techniques are reinterpreted, natural colors are skilfully mixed - this is how unique and timeless one-offs are created with a special style, sustainably manufactured according to the highest ethical standards.
