Pashmina is considered one of the best craftmanships in the world. Yet Pashmina is still relatively unknown in the Netherlands. What exactly is Pashmina? Pashmina is the premium variant of the well-known Cashmere.

Pashmina comes from a rare mountain goat that lives in the Himalayas at 5000 meters altitude. The altitude and extreme cold in the unforgiving mountainous region encourage the growth of this goat's undercoat. The fiber of its fur is eight times warmer than sheep's wool and only 12 microns wide, making it about 5 times finer than human hair.

The wool is so very thin that you cannot weave with it by machine. Pashmina is therefore always a product of true craftsmanship: only highly skilled craft workers can transform the scarf into a scarf of royal allure with their refined hand weaving techniques.

Many emperors and royalty were therefore fascinated by the warmth of this scarf. For example, Napoleon Bonaparte was also a big fan. In the 16th century he spoiled his wife Josefine with these wonderfully warm scarves.

Pashmina is the lightest, softest and warmest scarf. Not only perfect for the winter, but also extremely suitable for the summer.

Who are you spoiling this season? Give yourself or someone else this very warm scarf as a gift. Warmth guaranteed.
