¿What is Quima?
Quima is a creative studio based in Cantabria. We are dedicated to neo vintage design, that is, a retro style inspired by tourist posters from the early 20th century. We create our own posters depicting emblematic places in the North of Spain through Travel Posters and other products. We take care of the quality of our products and work with printing and manufacturing km 0.
¿Where does Quima come from?
Quima was born from a trip to La Réunion, a volcanic island in the Indian Ocean recognized for its landscapes and biodiversity. From there we took away, in addition to good memories, some illustrations that pay tribute to the beauty of the island. These souvenirs inspired us to value the landscapes and culture of Cantabria and the entire North in the same way.
At the beginning of 2021 we started creating the designs and at the end of the same year we finally launched Quima Studio. After two years selling our products online, in markets and at different points of sale, the project takes another form in June 2023 with the opening of our physical store in Santander, Quima Concept Store. In June 2024, we will launch our first designs in the Basque Country, thus beginning our development outside Cantabria.
