Just give your companion a good brush when it's dry. For coarser dirt, use lukewarm water, a soft brush or a sponge and remove the remaining traces of your excursions. After that, it's best to let everything dry in the fresh air and then it's off to the next adventure. Never clean your companion in the washing machine!!!
