Our founding team have worked in marine conservation for the last 10 years. After seeing first hand the damage that is being done to our oceans, through our use and improper disposal of plastics, we have relentlessly campaigned for change. 22 million kgs of plastic enters our oceans every day, and 25% of all ocean plastic pollution is flip flops and sandals (a study by San Diego University). Most are often poorly fitting, break easily and every pair made is a threat to marine life.
We decided to take on a team of footwear and fashion experts and make the most sustainable (and the best looking), eco-friendly flip flops possible. We made our flip flops from biodegradable natural rubber (a much more comfortable and durable alternative to plastic) and we use profits from the sale of each pair to collect 500 ocean-bound plastic bottles from some of the most polluted waterways and coastlines in the world. You can literally protect our oceans, with every step you take.

To help make real change happen, and hopefully lead the way in sustainable fashion, we decided from the start to reduce our profit margins, so that we could use those extra funds to protect our oceans instead. We share our success stories with every single person that buys a pair of our flip flops.
