Secret Whispers is a multi-award winning women’s healthcare company based in the Midlands, UK. Listed as a top 100 UK small trail blazing business. Invited to the House of Lords for an award and actually had everyone there doing their Kegels! Definitely a first!
The founder Julie, a mum of two, created her Kegel Kit after she could not find a suitable product available to help her improve her pelvic floor strength. After finding out that over 50% of women suffer with weak pelvic floor issues she knew she had to do something.
Julie campaigns for National Pelvic Floor Awareness and has been featured in national magazines, newspapers and radio. A presenter on the Chris Evans Virgin Radio show talked about her first dry run and using Secret Whispers. At a large running show exhibition attended by 15,000 Secret Whispers was the busiest stand and sold out in under 3 hours of the first day! This showed how massive leakage issues is with runners also.
Julie embodies passion and fire and has dedicated her career to breaking taboos around incontinence. Julie is adamant about smashing the narrative that incontinence is normal after having a baby. She says: “My goal is to empower women to talk openly about their bladder problems which will enable them to get the help and support they deserve.”
Her mission is to see that all women are educated from high school on the importance of the pelvic floor and why Kegels are so important.
