Joan Arrey, creator of Shasèl: I was born in a small town in the Osona region, in the interior of Catalonia, I was the youngest of six siblings and had a good collection of cousins. There is a saying that goes: “you are happier than a child with new shoes”; In the 60s you highly valued being able to wear new clothes and that was noticeable even on your face, they even say that you ran more with new shoes. It was hard for me to feel that, being the youngest of six, I inherited the clothes and shoes of my older brothers. Since I was young I have been linked to the world of leather, first at home where my parents were butchers and we were already cleaning and salting the hides, later in leather factories in Vic. I have spent my life surrounded by hides and that is how I have arrived today. , and I have decided to make my dream of releasing my own shoes come true, of a high quality, pampered and cared for in all their phases, from manufacture until they reach you.
