We bought so many! 😅 The base of these Ourika rugs is always creamy white, with a contrasting colorful pattern that is unique every time. I work with trustworthy suppliers who provide work to hundreds of women in the mountain areas. And I bid with the local merchants on the criée berbère of the carpet souks in the heart of Marrakech, skipping most intermediate channels! MAINTENANCE ADVICE Each rug is hand washed in Morocco before being shipped to Belgium. Rugs should be vacuumed regularly, and occasionally hung outside in the sunshine and fresh air to freshen them up and get rid of any loose dirt. We recommend only ever using mild soapy water to spot clean the rugs. Chemical cleaners and vintage textiles are definitely not friends - so keep cleaning simple and to the basics. HANDMADE Due to their handwoven and unique nature - irregularities in shape and color can be expected, and are what add to their beauty, character and value.
