Ceramic fish tea figurine

The ceramic fish tea figurine is used in the tea ceremony to embellish the table or tea tray and to send auspicious messages. 

It is usually bathed in boiling water and then left to decorate the ritual. 

The figurines usually represent animals typical of Chinese astrology or various deities, such as Buddha or the tea master Lu Yu.
