The winery is located on the Duero River and the Támega River flows into it, which crosses the Monterrei region from north to south. It has a Mediterranean climate with hot, dry summers and cold winters. The area presents considerable thermal oscillations of up to 30º during the ripening season. Regarding soils, in the Monterrei region, there are three types of soils: Slate and Schist, Granitic and sandy and Sedimentary. The result of Granitic and Sandy soils, coming from the degradation of granitic rocks with low pH and suitable for white wines. It is the white wine Godello D.O. from Monterrei.
