Red wine belonging to the Denomination of Origin Ribeira Sacra (Amandi), and produced specifically in the centenary vineyards of the Amandi area, the most recognized of the Ribeira Sacra. Made from the Mencía grape, this wine has been grown for five generations in the winery located in Sober on the slopes of the Sil, whose rugged terrain in the canyons of the river has given rise to what is called "heroic viticulture" that is has been doing since the time of the Romans, great lovers of this wine. Since then and until today, high quality wines have been made, due to their careful, special and artisanal selection of the raw material. The difficulty of this area generates limited productions, but of excellent quality that give the wine a balanced acidity, thanks to the combination of hours of sunshine and rainfall in the area, providing a greater aromatic intensity, and its characteristic cherry red and violet reflections. . The harvest is done manually in small-capacity boxes, so that the grapes arrive intact at the winery, where they are selected by hand. The miracle is to obtain small productions of these exclusive wines in which fructity and clean aromas predominate.
