2019 Rouge SeT - Chateau Fontvert CHATEAU FONTVERT - Red wine, Provence, France. Château Fontvert Rouge SeT 2019 is made from 85% Syrah and 15% Grenache Noir. The fermentation naturally takes place with the natural yeasts of the grapes. A 3-month maceration follows, allowing the wine to acquire richness, roundness and aromatic complexity. It then benefits from 12 months of aging in different sized oak barrels, followed by light filtration before bottling. Château Fontvert Rouge SeT 2019 has a beautiful and deep purple hue. The powerful and complex nose is dominated by a bouquet of black fruits, pepper and leather, enhanced by subtle notes of wood. The palate is elegantly structured and has notes of blackberries, black currants and cocoa, which then lead to a full and harmonious finish. The aging potential for this particularly fine red wine is 8 to 10 years. This wine goes perfectly with red meat and hard cheeses such as Comté. We recommend that you open the bottle or, even better, carafe it, one to two hours before enjoying it.
