The Little Black & White Book Project

The Little Black & White Book Project brings to life animals from around the world as high contrast illustrations for babies, toddlers and preschoolers. Our range of books, interactive flash cards, prints and gifts are designed to support early visual and brain development but designed to last years not months as little ones grow and develop throughout the early years.

We are passionate about reducing waste in the baby sector and creating products that are durable and will last way beyond the baby days. Parents testify to the fact their children come back to our books and flash cards over and over again and are fantastic to share between siblings.

Our mission is to inspire the next generation of animals lovers from as early an age as possible showcasing species in their correct and natural habitats from the familiar to the weird and wonderful!

We strive to be as sustainable as possible and give back to the planet which is why we donate 25% of profits to wildlife charities.

Ruth Bradford is the founder and creator of the brand, inspired by her own children and love of wildlife and travel. Ruth illustrates and writes all of the books and products and runs the business from Bristol in the United Kingdom.
