Coconut sugar has been used for generations as a traditional sweetener in tropical areas of Asia. Its exquisite aroma and candy-like flavor combines perfectly with all types of desserts, sweets or drinks. It is a natural product that is obtained directly by extracting the sap from the coconut palm flower. This traditional procedure allows part of the flower's nutrients to be retained and a sweetener with a texture similar to that of brown sugar is obtained. Coconut sugar contains minerals such as iron, zinc, calcium, magnesium and potassium. Important: it does not have a coconut flavor, therefore it does not add this flavor to foods.
