The jaguar warriors rose against the king of Tikal. Now they are threatened with sacrificial death. Xkik ’does not want to accept that and sets out to free her father and his men. Fred knows nothing of all this when he and Grandpa Alfred climb the steep stairs to the Temple of the Masks at dawn to marvel at the sunrise.
