CERTIFIED ORGANIC The almond is a nut, covered with a green envelope and velvety to the touch (husk), which dries and bursts when ripe, revealing a nut. When the almonds are shelled and dried, their skin is brown. VIJAYA offers a selection of slivered almonds from Spain. Variety: VALENCIA (mixture of varieties that may include: Marconas, Larguetas, Guara, Tuono, Lauranne, Ferragnes, Ferraduel, Malagueña, Fina, Cristomorto) HOW TO CONSUME IT: In tajines and fish cooked in the oven or in the pan (trout with almonds, for example). For dessert, in fruit salads, pastries (hedgehog with ½ poached pear and slivered almonds), frozen nougats, chocolate-almond rocks, pies and cakes. STORAGE TIPS: In order to keep all its qualities, we advise you to keep this product in a cool, dry place, away from air and light.
