The olives for our single-variety Frentanum grow in the fertile valley of the Biferno River near the town of Larino — the ancient capital of the Frentani and other indigenous peoples of southern Italy. 

Even today, a unique olive variety is grown here: Gentile di Larino. 

It gives the oil its wonderfully fresh aroma of green olives, a bitterness on the palate and a peppery spiciness in the finish. 

The finish is full of grassy aromas and deliciously fruity artichoke notes.
