ABOUT OUR FOUNDER: YOKUU was founded by Joris Jansen, a bio-engineer. It’s safe to say Joris is pretty nuts about bacteria. Nuts enough to convince thousands of people to clean with them. It all began when Joris studied biochemistry at KU Leuven. His thesis “Microbial Characterization of Indoor Air Samples”, though not a particularly gripping read, sparked a trail-blazing idea: the probiotic cleaning pearl. We think Joris is pretty clever. He didn’t tell us to write that.
