Kapkiyai Cooperative is situated in the highest part of the Nandi Mountains. Since 2010 they began working with the Coffee Initiative to improve their agronomic practices, coffee quality and greater inclusion of women. Currently ¼ of the members are women who contribute 25% of the cooperative's production. This coffee is brought to us by Vava Coffee, a social enterprise led by Vava Angweny, a woman from Kenya who in 2009 decided to support small producers so that they themselves give more value to their coffees, have a better life thanks to the sale in international markets and that both women and young people have a greater participation.
