Single Malt Whiskey - Airem Blue Edition

The nose opens with notes of nuts, Christmas cake and cinnamon. Very Jerez-esque, the sweet and spicy spiciness of Pedro Ximénez and Oloroso also bring out some interesting flavors. There is an earthy richness to the aromas. On the palate it is equally rich. More PX notes appear, mixed with ginger, oak wood and sweet red wine. Vanilla and honey add a lovely sweetness and give the spicy notes a nice kick. Nuts also appear, including raisins. The finish is bold and lingers on dried raisins and apricots. Airem Blue is a 100% pure malt whiskey made in Spain. This whiskey has matured in barrels that housed Jerez wines for 20 years (Pedro Ximenez and Oloroso) and have aged for a period of 6 to 13 years.
