Hi, I’m the founder of Ayuri and my name is Reena.
The Ayuri collection of candles are based on the ancient Indian principles of Ayurveda.

The range is designed to help bring mind and body balance to each individual based on their unique and specific needs. Ayurveda says that the whole universe is made of five core elements which are earth, water, fire, air, and ether. Due to our modern stress-filled lifestyles, we can often go out of balance (in terms of our personal balance of these five elements that make us).

Ayuri’s Ayurvedic aromatherapy candles are carefully blended with essential oils and premium fragrance oil to help bring back mind and body balance according to the Doshas. So, what is a Dosha? The elements are grouped into three bio-energies (or Dosha in Sanskrit) which are Vata (air + ether), Pitta (fire + water) and Kapha (earth + water).

Scents from the Vata range help counter Vata related conditions. They are warming, help calm the nerves, and are beneficial for anxiety and insomnia. Scents from the Pitta range help counter Pitta related conditions. They are fresh and grounding, help bring a sense of calm, and cool down the mind-body from excess heat. Scents from the Kapha range help counter Kapha related conditions. They create a sense of positive and transformative energy, motivation and are uplifting.

I trained in Ayurveda in 2016 and have always had a love and passion for Ayurveda and Yoga. I believe that everyone can benefit from this ancient wisdom known as 'the science of life.I launched Ayuri in July 2020 with a mission to share Ayurvedic wisdom through my hand-poured scented candles.

Ayuri candles are eco-friendly and made with locally sourced materials. The wax used is 100% natural vegan soy wax. Soy wax is produced from sustainable plantations and is not harmful to our health or the environment when burning in the way that paraffin wax is. The scents are a blend of essential oils and premium fragrance oils. I personally hand-pour every candle, lovingly made with care and every attention so that you can enjoy the ancient wisdom of Ayurveda at home.
