Ecological, their harvest is regulated in the Jalapào park (34000km2) in Tocantins which has been protected since 2005. Biodiversity is preserved there as well as local work: only finished crafts or assembly parts are marketed (the purchase of the raw material is prohibited and reserved for locals).
