They do not come from intensive and/or organic crops where hybrid strains are grown (3 to 5 kg of dried seeds per plant) which are significantly less rich in tannins than wild strain guarana. Manufacturers use hybrid guarana for its caffeine extract, particularly in the composition of caffeinated sodas or energy drinks. These seeds are traditionally cooked/dehydrated in clay ovens. They are reduced to powder in stone mills, therefore without heating or oxidation, in order to maintain their natural balance in tannins / guaranine, keep the trace elements and vitamins and thus cause a slow assimilation of these over 4-5 hours in the body.
