The Popcorn Kit was founded in January 2024 by Greg and James. The idea was to create a tasty and simple popcorn kit with eco-friendly ♻️ packaging that anyone can pop at home.
We wanted to use the best ingredients and to really understand what goes into the products we choose for our kits. We are always looking at our ingredients to make sure everyone is included, some of our Kits are Gluten Free, some are No Nuts and most can be made Vegetarian! We will soon have some Vegan friendly kits and flavours that exclude some or all of the top 14 allergens.
We want to create an experience so you can have fun, whilst making popcorn snacks at home that are simple and delicious.
WHERE DID IT ALL BEGIN?
The name “The Popcorn Kit” came about when we were speaking to our family about the idea. Originally we were going to call it Popcorn Kit, but adding the word “The” added a level of distinguish to our products, for example, If you said your friend's name was Brad Pitt, someone might say you mean The Brad Pitt? We want our Popcorn Kits to be the one known as The Popcorn Kit!
For the past 10 years Greg was involved in making ready to eat popcorn snacks, he learnt a lot from doing this, but mainly that the best popcorn is made at home, freshly popped and covered in chocolate and sweets.
The kits are simple to follow, no oven, no mixing, very little washing up and everything is served in the box, and once you have enjoyed your popcorn you simply pop it all in the bin to be fully recycled!

Making the kit is simple and really good fun. We really hope you enjoy making them as much as we do.
OUR ETHICS
Greg and James source all the products as ethically as possible, they only use suppliers that can meet the high standards required to be included.
Throughout the year there will be lots of new flavours launching and there will is a monthly subscription model so you can get your popcorn fix each month.
Being ethical from the very start was so important, and since our launch we have been sourcing and using 100% recyclable materials which make us The first UK Popcorn brand to have fully recyclable packaging across all our products.

We pride ourselves on our flavour combinations. We want to make sure we create flavours that no one else is doing, and that you might have never seen or tried before. Trust us once you have tried how good The Popcorn Kit is there will be no looking back to regular ready to eat sweet popcorn for those home movie nights!
