BREAKS SPIRITS MANUFACTORY X MAJOLIKA CERAMIC MANUFACTORY * LIMITED EDITION * In this special edition we combine two different traditional crafts. Ceramic art meets firing art. Two Karlsruhe manufacturers join forces and develop a very special limited edition. Maintaining ceramic art and promoting artists were among other things the core ideas of Grand Duke Friedrich I, artists Hans Toma and Wilhelm Süs when the Majolika Karlsruhe was founded in 1901. The recently renewed majolica manufactory has set itself the task of promoting innovative use of ceramic materials in art, design and architecture, as well as maintaining and developing traditional ceramic processes and techniques. Just in time for the sixth anniversary of the Breaks Spirituosen Manufaktur and the 120th anniversary of Majolika Karlsruhe, we have created a very special edition for you in the Ceramic Manufaktur's 3D Lab. The majolica 3D lab forms the digital workshop of the majolica studio under the direction of product designer Fabian Schmid, who also designed this modern interpretation of a juniper branch in the form of this bottle. The modern 3D lab sees itself as a research facility for the further development of additive ceramics production. With the help of the 3D printer, it is possible to develop and manufacture innovative, experimental and additive ceramics, which is definitely not possible by hand. Each bottle from the ceramic 3D printer is therefore unique. The bottles come out of the printer one by one, layer by layer, and are then dried and fired. After firing, a glaze is applied and glazed again in the oven in the so-called glaze firing and refined with platinum. A special bottle also needs a special content. Of course, this limited special edition is all about juniper, not only visually, but also in terms of taste, because that's what gin is all about. And what goes well with juniper? Of course citrus fruits, we have also come up with something special for you here. We won't reveal more for now, be curious and let us surprise you.
