Below the castle, built in 1233, runs the historic Salt Road, which the strict lord of the castle always kept in mind. He also checked the quality of the salt and we are sure that our rum would also pass his test. To ferment the organic molasses from Asia, we use a specially selected type of yeast, which converts the sugar in the molasses into alcohol and provides a completely new, very intense and fruity taste experience - without any additives. We're a little proud of that, because we didn't know that our process was used elsewhere.
