Bærenman Single Cask Selection - Rum No.1 43% vol, 500ml

Our "number 1" - strictly limited to 500 bottles!! After years of waiting and longing, our "number 1" is now in the bottle and the taste and smell far exceed our wildest expectations! Our "number 1" was stored for several years in a new 190l bourbon barrel made of American white oak with a Char 4, the so-called alligator toast. The fact that our barrels do not live in a climate-controlled room, but rather the temperatures in winter and summer are between 0 and 40°C, and there is constantly varying humidity, pushes the wood in our barrels to their limits. Nevertheless, these temperature fluctuations cause our barrel-stored products to expand and contract, which means that the flavors of wood and rum emerge more quickly because there is constant movement of the liquid in the barrel, allowing intense and unique aromas to form and develop. And our “number 1” is the best proof of this. Unfortunately - for all of us - this also increases the 'angels share' considerably! But if the angels love it so much, it must be a very special wine. And as we all know, 'sharing' is 'caring', i.e. drinking in the spirit of charity! Bottom up! To complete the maturation, our "number 1" spent a few months in an Oloroso sherry cask as a very special finish. This treatment reveals intense vanilla aromas, combined with the sweetness of sherry and the flavors of dried fruits such as plum, pear and raisins. A rum as unique as its connoisseurs! 43% vol 500ml
