Behind all these colors, behind all these sweetnesses, there is a candid look which is keen to share a little tenderness, which wants us not to forget to tell each other that we love each other. This is surely why I started painting, to heal a heart that darkness had damaged, to restore movement to beats that had frozen. And then, my drawings escaped, Jack, Gisèle and the others took flight, they emancipated themselves, to touch the hearts of other sensitive people. These are now your drawings, it's up to you to do with them what you want, they are only the conveyors of messages that we sometimes take too long to reveal. So let them give you the courage to speak out. If they inspire you to get started, to be gentle, then they will have achieved their mission.
