Grande Cuvee Belveze 2003

This cuvée is a blend of Syrah, Mourvèdre and Grenache Noir. The very qualitative terroir is characterized by a high organic matter content and high stoniness. The vines dedicated to the Grande Cuvée Belvèze are distinguished by a low goblet pruning allowing optimal ripening of the grapes. Manual harvesting in order to respect the integrity of the berries up to the cellar. Destemming, then vinification and maceration in stainless steel vats for 20 to 25 days, manual punching down. Ageing, after racking, the aging lasts about 18 months in French oak barrels. Tasting The deep robe is dark cherry in color. The nose, of a pleasant freshness, opens on smoky, mineral notes (flint type). The mouth is powerful. Like the Great Wines of Languedoc, the Grande Cuvée Belvèze is a full, straightforward wine of great complexity. The finish is long. This cuvée reveals its finesse and elegance after being decanted a few hours earlier.
