Gevrey Chambertin Monteronde 2020 Bertrand de Monceny - RED

Flagship appellation of the Côte de Nuits, Gevrey Chambertin is one of the oldest terroirs in Burgundy. From the year 613, the existence of the vineyard is attested. This is where Pinot Noir gives one of its most beautiful expressions. Gevrey wines are often characterized as those with the greatest aging potential, thanks to their power, to which is added all the finesse that characterizes the wines of the Côte de Nuits. It is par excellence the wine for exceptional meals. TASTING The robe is a superb intense ruby color, limpid and brilliant, with a beautiful fat that emerges on the edges of the glass. The nose evokes very ripe black fruits, there is also a little smoke, coffee and wild mushrooms. The whole is very concentrated. The attack is clean and powerful. The wine quickly reveals its strength, as well as its richness. A beautiful structure mixed with notes of blackcurrant and Burlat cherry, with a very long and spicy finish. FOOD & WINE Marinated wild boar, beef in sauce, aged cheeses. OPERATING TEMPERATURE Between 15° and 16°C GUARD 4 to 7 years old
