Welcome to Concrete & Wax, an award winning collection of hand poured concrete homeware and natural wax fragranced candles that have been designed, developed and manufactured by us – a married design-duo Alex Sommer (Mr Concrete) and Laura Keller (Mrs Wax) - with sustainability at the forefront.
All concrete holders have been created not only to fit the Concrete & Wax candles but also any standard tealight and the modular design of the collection means all pieces can be stacked and styled in a myriad of ways, mixing colour and fragrance for a truly personalised arrangement. Our Modular Collection is the winner of 'My Gift of All Time' at The Gift of the Year Awards 2022.
Since its launch, our collection has grown to include vegan container candles and diffusers (with multi-purpose concrete lids), mirrors and, most recently, a striking tableware collection of coasters and placemats available both in plain concrete and a unique splatter effect (the splatter effect was quite literally the brain child of our child, who came up with the idea during an off-piste home-schooling lesson during lockdown).
All materials are sourced as locally as possible and every piece is poured in small batches, finished and lovingly packaged in our Suffolk workshop to ensure true craftmanship from beginning to end.
